01 Hour
Upon arriving in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, recovering from your journey and getting your first taste of Nepalese culture. You might explore the bustling streets of Thamel, a popular tourist district, or simply relax and prepare for the trek ahead. Overnight in Kathmandu at 1,400 meters (4,593 feet) above sea level.
On the second day, you'll embark on a scenic drive or a short flight to Pokhara, located 200 kilometers (124 miles) west of Kathmandu. The drive takes about 6-7 hours by bus, while the flight is a quick 25 minutes. Pokhara is known for its stunning natural beauty and as a gateway to the Annapurna region. Upon arrival, you can stroll along the serene Phewa Lake, enjoy the panoramic views of the Annapurna range, and prepare for the trek. Pokhara sits at an altitude of 827 meters (2,713 feet).
After breakfast, a short one-hour drive will take you to Kande, the starting point of your trek. From Kande, you'll begin your ascent towards Forest Camp. This initial part of the trek involves a steep climb through lush rhododendron forests, providing your first glimpses of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. The trek to Forest Camp takes about 6-7 hours, and you'll camp at an altitude of 2,520 meters (8,268 feet).
05 Hours
On the fourth day, the trail continues through dense forests as you make your way to Low Camp. The trek takes about 4-5 hours, gradually gaining altitude and offering more frequent views of Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain). The alpine meadows and clearings along the way provide perfect rest spots to admire the scenery. Low Camp is situated at 2,970 meters (9,744 feet).
Today's trek leads you from Low Camp to High Camp, ascending further into alpine territory. The 4-5 hour hike takes you through breathtaking landscapes, with the tree line thinning out and revealing expansive views of the surrounding mountains. The journey to Base Camp and back to High Camp takes about 7-8 hours, with an early start to catch the sunrise. After enjoying the sunrise at High Camp, you'll begin your descent to Siding Village. This 5-6 hour trek takes you back through rhododendron forests and picturesque landscapes. Siding Village offers a glimpse into traditional Nepalese village life, providing a warm and welcoming environment. You'll spend the night here at an altitude of 1,750 meters (5,741 feet).
On the eighth day, you'll trek from Siding Village to Lumre, a journey of about 3-4 hours. From Lumre, a vehicle will take you back to Pokhara, which is a 2-3 hour drive. Back in Pokhara, you can relax and enjoy the amenities of the city, perhaps visiting the lakeside or reflecting on your trekking adventure. Overnight in Pokhara at 827 meters (2,713 feet).
8-9 Hours
Your final day involves either a drive or flight back to Kathmandu. This will give you one last opportunity to take in the scenic beauty of Nepal. Once in Kathmandu, you can spend your time shopping for souvenirs, exploring more of the city, or enjoying a farewell dinner with your trekking group. Overnight in Kathmandu, at 1,400 meters (4,593 feet), you reflect on the incredible journey you've completed.
